Most of our work is concerned with the installation of woodburning / multifuel stoves . Consequently we feel it is essential that we are able to offer first class fuel for our customers. Having looked at the market, and taking all factors into consideration, we found that Certainly Wood Ltd was able to offer products that complimented our dedication to providing a quality service.
All of their products can be ordered through ourselves, full details of which can be found further down this page.

Why are we selling their wood?
The biggest fault of stove owners is the burning of wood that is not dry enough. The common term is “seasoned”. But what does that mean? Felled, cut and split, but left in the field, it would probably rot before being dry enough to use. For woodburner use you really should be looking at using wood with a moisture content of less than 20%
Does your stove glass get blackened? Do you get black tar running down your flue? Is your flue nearly blocked with deposits? All these are symptoms of wet wood.
The ideal size for logs to go in a stove is no more than 10cm in diameter. This is because wood is a poor conductor of heat and larger logs do not burn as efficiently. All the wood supplied by us are of this smaller diameter meaning they burn so much cleaner and effectively.
Did you know that the drier the wood is, the more heat you get out! Dry wood burns slower as well, so not only do you get more heat, but you don’t use so much. You get more heat because with wet wood the water vapour stops some of the gases from igniting, allowing them to escape up the chimney – as wasted potential heat!
Certainly Wood Ltd supplies kiln dried hard wood logs, cut and split to lengths suitable for practically all stoves. For bulk load orders you have the option of ordering 250mm, 350mm or 500mm lengths. The average moisture content is between 15% and 20% which means it will burn beautifully, keeping your glass and chimney clean.
